Each day we may get pushed down by our imperfections or diabetes, but everyday we choose to get back up.. And that is what really counts!
I’ve been sick with a not so fun cold and my blood sugars have been up and down all day, but that’s not stopping me from a little yoga class today.
Keep treading forward!
Happy New Year! Welcome 2015! It’s a new year filled with endless new possibilities. Every year I write down a list of short and longterm goals for myself to complete within the year and I am pretty excited for this one. 2014 was the MOST life changing year, from making big new decisions to becoming diabetic, and I can’t wait to see what 2015 has to bring!

It’s been a festive 25 days filled with holiday recipes, workouts, tips, and inspirations. For the last day it’s all about the best Christmas gift that anyone can receive.. It’s about family, love, and support! Today, for Day 25, there is no greater present than the gift of your support system. Whether it be family, friends, guardians, or social media pen pals.. It is so important that we remind ourselves of all the love and support that we are constantly surrounded. From my family to yours, Happy Holidays and reflect on all that love that is around you!
“Find happiness in the simplest of things”
Tis’ that time of year where cheer is in the air and smiles are permanently on people’s faces. Life, diabetes, work, school, and the annual holiday stress can sometimes be a damper on your attitude. So today we need to turn that negativity into positivity. For Day 18 of the Type Happy Holiday Challenge, spend this day to find out what little thing about the holidays that makes you happy! For me, its the excitement of picking out that perfect Christmas tree and decorating it with all my favorite ornaments!
It’s Monday Motivation again for Day 15 of the Type Happy Holiday Challenge. Start this week with a sweaty workout that will kickstart the rest of your awesome week! Today I got a good one here for you! The challenge is to create a fun, exciting playlist of holiday jams and then complete this circuit as fast as you can. If you need to take breaks definitely do so and then when you are ready, continue where you left off. This will get your cardio going, blood pumpin’, and your muscles workin’!
The circuit routine:
40 lunges (20 on each leg)
Repeat this 4 times!
