One of my favorite things are evening beach runs. Before being diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic, I was an avid marathon competitor and runner. Now I’m in the process of training for my next marathon, but this time it will be my first race as a T1D! Lots of new things to adapt to. And with the paleo lifestyle that I follow for my blood sugars, it also helps me feel amazing on my runs. Running is a great blood sugar stabizer; however, I always carry my gel packets for carbs and created a loop system so that I can check my blood sugars throughout my long runs. Type 1s can do anything they put their minds to! Stay tuned for updates about my race and progress
